Service partners receive an hourly rate guaranteed by the manufacturer for warranty work. The amount is intended to depend in part on the equipment, the range of services and the quality of work performed. As a first step, service partners are asked to provide self-reported information on turnover, number of employees, and days worked, spent on training and taken off due to illness. Based on this self-reported information, the partner is assigned to a category with predefined standards regarding equipment, floor space and number of employees, against which they are audited.
The audit result is incorporated into the calculation of the warranty hourly rate at a percentage specified by the client; this is the decisive outcome of an audit. Audits are carried out at regular intervals in all service workshops.
If a specified threshold is exceeded, the partner receives a certificate from the client.
Process
Dekra informs the service partner of the upcoming audit and sends a link to the self-assessment form by email. The service partner enters their parameters here. This is used to determine a proposed hourly rate and the audit category. These must be approved by the Erwin Hymer Group. The assessment questionnaire is then created using this data and assigned to an auditor.
The auditor arranges a date with the partner and carries out the audit on site. The audit report contains a large number of photographic documents as evidence and is therefore usually carried out using the Android client for reasons of efficiency.
